International Dance Day: Studio Showing – Reverence for the Rebels

Reverence for the Rebels is an interdisciplinary research project choreographed by soma anima Artistic Director Rachel Helten. This informal studio showing explores the legacies of souls who have resisted oppression and inspired transformation through contemporary dance, spoken word, and digital projection. The presentation is followed by a discussion where artists share their creative process with the audience. Supported by The Dance Centre’s DanceLab program, this event highlights the quiet power of artistic resistance. Admission is free and open to everyone interested in the intersection of arts and social justice.
